In this activity, children explore twigs, buds, and tree flowers while they celebrate the coming of spring.
Objectives
Provide opportunities and materials for children to:
- Observe seasonal changes in nature, especially the new growth of trees.
- Experiment with twigs, buds, flowers, and seeds.
- Describe spring using words that imitate sounds.
- Express feelings about spring through music, movement, and art.
- Incorporate the knowledge they gain into their everyday world.
- Play outside in a natural setting.
